Host Agreement
Version 2026-10-15
The terms for listing machines on rent-gpu.app. You accept it when you become a host. It adds to the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy.
Draft for legal review. This document describes how rent-gpu.app works today, but it has not yet been reviewed by counsel and may change before launch.
1. You are an independent host
You own or control the machines you list and run them as an independent business, not as our employee or agent. You confirm you have the right to run them for others, including under your internet provider’s terms, your lease and any power or building rules.
2. Our host software
- You install our agent on each machine. It connects out to us, so you open no inbound ports.
- The agent reports the machine’s hardware, measures bandwidth and disk, and runs an hourly check and benchmarks. Listings show only what it measured. You can’t type in hardware details.
- You must not modify the agent, fake its results, or interfere with verification.
3. Prices and what you earn
- You set your prices. Renters pay exactly that price, and you keep all of it.
- Our only charge to you is your host plan’s monthly fee. Each plan allows a number of listed GPUs. The first 30 days are free.
- By default the plan fee is paid from your earnings. If earnings don’t cover it, we charge your card.
- If a plan payment fails, you have 7 days to fix it. After that your listings are paused, and the plan is cancelled after 30 days.
- When a renter stops an instance, its GPUs stay reserved for one hour. We pay you 25% of your GPU price for that hour.
4. Payouts
- Payouts go through Stripe Connect, which verifies your identity. You must accept Stripe’s terms.
- We pay every Friday when your balance is at least $10. Earnings from your first 30 days after payout setup are held until that period ends.
- You are responsible for your own taxes. Stripe may send tax forms to you and to tax authorities.
5. Renter workloads
- Do not inspect, copy or change renter containers, disks, memory or traffic. The agent reports commands run inside a renter’s container, and we ban hosts who do it.
- Keep rented machines powered and connected. Schedule maintenance in the console so new rentals avoid it.
- Downtime lowers your reliability score, and renters are not charged for GPU time while your machine is unreachable.
- If you receive an abuse complaint about a renter’s traffic, forward it to abuse@rent-gpu.app. We investigate and stop the instance when needed.
6. Fraud
If you rent your own machines, misreport hardware or tamper with verification, we ban your account, publish the affected GPU identifiers, and reverse the earnings obtained that way, including from future payouts.
7. Your hardware
Renters run demanding workloads. You are responsible for your hardware, cooling, electricity and insurance. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for wear or damage to your machines.
8. Ending hosting
You can stop hosting at any time. Drain machines first so running rentals finish. We pay out remaining earnings in the next payout run, minus any amount reversed for fraud. We may suspend hosting for breaches of this agreement or the Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Changes
When this agreement changes, we publish a new version and ask you to accept it in the host console. Until you do, you can’t add machines or change payout details. Your current listings keep running.
